If we are truly honest with ourselves, there comes a point in all of our lives where we question if our life even fits us anymore.
We all grow. We all change. Whether we notice it or not.
It’s intuitive to believe life would grow with you, adapt as you do. Maybe it does. Sometimes it doesn’t.
When we build on old values and beliefs we hadn’t realised we’d outgrown, or subconsciously chose, we can wake up wondering: Is this it?
Ever worked for something, only to find it empty when you arrived?
Or assumed the next step would appear, ready for the transition or advancement, only to find it never did?
Then what?
You float in the abyss thinking: I should be happy. I should be grateful. Why aren’t I?
It’s known among Olympic athletes: win gold, achieve the pinnacle, and find yourself lost. Adrenaline gone.
Identity intact. Hollow inside.
Except you don’t have to be an Olympian to meet this experience.
Society insists on rewarding progress, achievement, socially defined success.
Along the way, we can lose sight of ourselves, or outgrow what once defined us.
The consequence? Confusion. Disorientation. Silent screaming. Isolation. Helplessness. Or living a life that doesn’t fit anymore.
There is nothing unusual about finding yourself here, even if it feels that way.
